The Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival is held every year in the middle of September at Lincoln Park. This Cleveland festival attracts around 15000 people to Lincoln Park and consists of performance by various artists, musicians, dance and educational activities for kids.
There are also many food stands that are organized by some non-profit groups and local churches.
The festival aims to celebrate the artistic and cultural diversity of Tremont and Greater Cleveland areas as well as encouraging the artists. Merrick House sponsors the event and it is co-sponsored by Tremont West Development Corporation.
The festivities include-
- Educational, arts and historical projects for children.
- Tremont churches, Tremont restaurants, non-profit organizations selling cultural food. The restaurants reflect the ethnic heritage of Cleveland's neighborhood.
- Sales of jewelry, paintings, ceramics and sculpture which have been created by artists from Tremont and Northern Ohio.
The 2011 Tremont Arts and Cultural festival will be held at the Lincoln Park on September 17 and 18. The festival will include dance and music performances on both days on the main stage which is located near the Kenilworth Avenue between West 14th Street and West 11th Street. The artists are accepted by the jurying process for the cultural festival and the artists are eligible for the top three prizes of the festival.
The Lincoln Park in September overflows with creativity and charm. Visitors get a chance to buy jewelry and art from the makers directly. And if you are visiting with your kids, you can enjoy in the kids area as well as explore the diversity of Cleveland.
